The paving company Mr. Asphalt opened up one of our hydrants and this has caused discolored water that has been reported on Smith Street, Harrison Street and on Hallison Circle. As you may know, there is a water line improvement project currently happening along James River Turnpike. The purpose of this project is to replace the existing fragile lines that have been in the ground for many years and reduce the number of future water outages in that area once the project is completed.
